Fly Me to the Moon: Bipolar Journey through Mania and Depression won an EVVY Merit Award from the Colorado Independent Publisher’s Association in 2007.  This was Dr. Logue’s first novel to begin a series to demystify mental illnesses for the public.  The book has received wide acclaim and set the stage for the following books. Dr. Logue is proud to announce the recent publication of his second book, ADDICTION: Yours, Mine, and Ours.  You will finally understand addiction and its treatment.

Dr. Logue graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 1963.  Following an internship at the University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, he practiced general and family medicine for five years.  Dr. Logue returned to the Medical College of Georgia for a three-year accredited psychiatric program and after completion he moved to Birmingham, Alabama where he has enjoyed a satisfying career. 

In 1974, Dr. Logue organized and opened a psychiatric unit at a major Birmingham hospital.  He chaired that department for twelve years and grew it to a 96-bed psychiatric department.  He currently is the director of the geriatric behavioral health unit at Baptist Medical Center Princeton in Birmingham, Alabama.  His office practice is at Affiliated Mental Health Services in the Birmingham area.  He co-founded American Behavioral Benefits Managers, Inc., a noted mental health benefits company serving patients in all 50 states and Canada.

His first novel remains the only novel to be approved for continuing medical education credits for the medical community.  He received the Exemplary Psychiatrist Award from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
